Homeschooling with Holiday Fever

Tis' the season to be jolly!?  How can mommy stay jolly through the holidays when her children have holiday fever?

All the holiday excitement brought with it it's challenges as a homeschooling mother.  When my children got holiday fever it became difficult to keep them focus during lessons.  My mission became staying on task without getting frustrated. The remedy - Time 4 Learning.

Time-4-Learning is an online home education program.  After using another online program, my children called boring, to supplement for math this year I can appreciate Time-4-Learning even more. What sets Time-4-Learning apart is the fun, colorful, interactive lesson games for children.  It's actually something my children look forward to!

 What's also great are the student records the program keeps.  It can chart by the daily, weekly and monthly progress of a child/student.   I can access the recent work they've done, create a report detailing either their attendance, duration or scores on their quizzes/assessments.  

I was excited when I saw by each score I had direct access to the lesson by clicking the lesson link on the same line.  This way I have access to areas needing mastery and can go directly to the lesson!   

   

The reports can be printed and stored with my student records.  There are even lesson plans showing the amount of lessons per subject which include: Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies and LA Extensions.  This makes it easy for a parent to determine how many lessons per day their student should do.

My children love being on the computer.  Now they can be on the computer and I know they are learning with a program which correlates with the state standard and at their unique educational levels. With each of my students learning at different levels I love the option to choose the learning level for each child. For an advanced student this is really Great.

 As a home educator I learned my child can be strong/advanced in one area and may need review in another area to master a skill.  I love the ability of having access to several grade levels at the same time.  This way I can tailor their online lessons to their unique levels in each subject.

Time-4-Learning has been a saving grace to keep me jolly through the holidays.  My children are staying on task, having fun and learning through the holiday fever.  

Throughout the next year I will continue writing more about this program.  I recommend Time-4-Learning, most definitely!
