The Pot

It's fun to know everyone has unique thought process. Random thoughts can be profound. Or quirky. Nonetheless I would like to share this story as tribute to my random thoughts.

While stopped at a red light in southern California. My mind is swirling with thoughts of what I will purchase for my home. Having limited funds. Starting over completely, thinking of how great the needs are, and ordering them by priority.

My thoughts halt at the sight of a pot strung to a backpack of what may belong to a homeless man or woman. The backpack on the ground coupled with another, in the center of two way traffic.

In the moment I thought, "Whoever owns this pot has more than me." The thought continued with what they may think of me. Because I have a home, they may feel I have more than them.

My random thought made me appreciate more what I have and humbling me at the same time. There will always be someone with more or different stuff. However, it's for us to see the blessings in the things we do have.

The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it,
       the world, and all who live in it;
