Day 27: Love encourages

TODAY’S DARE

Eliminate the poison of unrealistic expectations in your home. Think of one area where your spouse has told you you’re expecting too much, and tell them you’re sorry for being so hard on them about it. Promise them you’ll seek to understand, and assure them of your unconditional love.

This dare I haven't finished yet. I didn't want to complete the dare at the end of the night. I decided I would tell him Sunday, during the day. (I hope it will go with the days dare. : )

I liked this quote from the book on this subject,

You must choose to live by encouragement rather than by expectations

Here is about what I am planning to say,

Steve since we were dating I have had an unrealistic expectation we could do everything together. After work, we could spend all our time with each other and you could give me all your attention. I am sorry for this expectation I should not have set. You had told me your need for space while we were dating. I apologize for not respecting your need. I can see this time is very important for you creatively. My priority is to let you be yourself and give you the time you need.

I'd hoped I could think of a shorter version of this. : ) (maybe I still have time)
