Day 4: Love is thoughtful

TODAY’S DARE

Contact your spouse sometime during the business of the day. Have no agenda other than asking how he or she is doing and if there is anything you could do for them.

Today my son had surgery, he took the day off work. I still did the dare. Nervous to ask more than anything.

I learned I get over anxious to do things for him, I tend to get pushy. I learned I ask at time with a motive. Or I tend to tell him what he needs or wants and do whatever I think it is.

To help this become more of a routine and natural, I really need to ask not expecting him to need me to do anything or have a motive for asking him. I will need to give my husband freedom to tell me about himself. And ultimately, tell me what he needs and not make assumptions.
